Hermes Health Solutions is the Thesis project for Owen Cook, a Graphic Design student at Portland State University. Focusing on User Interface and User Experience Design, he found a particular interest in Web Accessibility as part of his humanist, user-centered values. While researching, he was struck by the realization that accessible design guidelines made complete sense for a universally effective user experience, both for disabled and abled users. This lead to him developing this project, an anti-design experiment in creating an inaccessible site to highlight how valuable accessible design is for all users, including those who may take it for granted. Why make it a healthcare website in particular? Think about it.
